This is another one of my country estate sale finds. It is the 1978 M.J. Hummel Annual plate that features a raised scene of a little girl knitting while wearing a cute blue smock with an apron and a red scarf and sitting under the branch of a tree. The background is beige with brown border. At the edge of the border is a beaded accent. The plate measures 7 1/2" in diameter. On the back it reads "M.J. Hummel 8th Annual Plate 1978 - W.Goebel-Porzellan Brik - Rodental-West Germany" with the Goebel logo. This is a very nice piece considering it is 40 years old. This would be a great addition to any nursery decor or addition to any collection. This piece is in excellent condition. The coloring is very nice and there are no knicks, chips or cracks.
